So it's been over a week since the last post. Last week was kind of busy so I never got around to posting an update. Anyways, here we go.
So two Thursdays ago, Michael, Amy Margaret and I went to Panera Bread to eat supper and discuss the current state of affairs. We set up a good plan to try and get interest back into the Young Adult Group at Colonial Heights UMC.
That Friday Will and I held a LAN party at our apartment. Chris and Zach came and we played Dungeon Siege 2, Neverwinter Nights, and Guild Wars. It was a fun event even though I'm not a huge fan of these kinds of games. Beyond those games we played Rayman Rabbid Rabids on the Wii and Mario Party 8. Will and I stayed up until around 7:30 and Zach stayed up the entire time.
Saturday was essentially connected with Friday and I didn't get up until 1:30 so the entire day was shot. Susanne had left me a message on Facebook that day so she came up to the apartment for a little while. Fun times were had.
Sunday was a very laid back day. I slept in and then met up with my buddy to get information for a presentation on a person in my Public Speaking class. That night I went to Little Caesers to get some pizza that I split with Will.
Monday I went home for a little while to hang out with my parents and eat supper with them.
Tuesday was uneventful but annoying.
Wednesday was uneventful but once again annoying.
Thursday we dressed out for the first time in Basketball. We did fundamentals and I sucked something fierce. Then I went to change and realized I forgot my belt and the pants I brought were too big. Worse yet, I had to give my buddy presentation that day. So improvisation forced me to use my mp3 player ear bud wire as a belt. It worked but not well. My presentation was rough but I got through it. I don't understand how I can play an instrument in front of an audience so easily but speaking is a completely different thing. Anyway, we got out early so I went back up to my apartment and got a belt and then went to 3-d Model Design. Will rode down with me and we wound up being little late. Not a huge deal though. This class was a little more interesting than previously since we modeled a female figure.
Friday, I went to AUTOCAD and then packed up and went to Greenville to meet up with Michael and another girl to ride down to Divine Rhythm. We wound up going on the Newport highway to go through Gatlinburg to pick up Michael's sister. However, once we got near Gatlinburg, his sister called stating she had decided to go to Resurrection with the youth group. We then went to TGIFridays and ate and then went to the first session. Though as we were heading back to the car, Halley, the girl who rode with us tripped in what can be described as a hilarious manner. Anyway, we went to the session and it was cool. Shane Claiborne was the speaker who had spoken at Resurrection several years ago. Very inspiring speaker, though very extreme in his interpretation of certain elements of the bible. The Michael Grungor band provided the music. They were a very nice change of pace from the typical acoustic singer song writer types that have overflowed the contemporary Christian music scene.
Saturday we went to the second session and then had the afternoon to do as we please. After eating lunch Michael, Brian, and Chris Kelso went and rode go karts for a little while. After that Michael and I went up to Gatlinburg to roam the streets for a while. After that we returned to the hotel to rest up and then went to Apple Barn with our group and Troy Forrester's group. I swear, this is the second year in a row I've eaten there and spent 22$ there and it's still incredibly mediocre. We also wound up being an hour late to the session because it took us so long to get in. We eventually made it and then discussed the future of the young adult group.
Sunday we went to the final session and went our separate ways. Before we left Pigeon Forge we stopped at Books A Million and I bought two books. After that, we decided to go ahead and eat at Fudruckers and then proceeded home. Once home, I got onto neglected homework which leads me to Monday.
Monday was pretty good. Definitely on of the better days so far. I didn't mention before but so far this semester had been kind of crappy. Hopefully this is a sign of change. Had our first quiz in Intro to Psych, which I did pretty well, 4 out of 5. For supper I went to El Chico's with Michael and Chelsey. I had eaten there before but not in a long time. It was pretty good, but it still didn't beat La Caretta. Which, by the way is my scale of good Mexican food. Later that day I drew out my orthographic for 3-d Model design and then loafed around.
Well, that's all I feel like elaborating on so I'll rap it up. Until next time.

Another Week Another Blog
Actually it's been a little over a week, but who's counting.
So what's been going on you don't ask. Well, I enjoyed my last few days of freedom before heading back to school by going to the Comic Book store Thursday to cash in my gift certificates. Didn't use all of them but I did use about eleven bucks of it. I pretty much just tried out a bunch of stuff. For some reason, at the moment I just am not interested in anything going on in the Big 2 (i.e. Marvel and DC) One More Day totally killed my interest in Spider-Man and DC seems to be just as big of a mess. Of course after that rant I did pick up an issue of the new Iron Fist series. It was surprisingly good and I'll likely be picking up the trades in the near future. Another series I finally gave a chance was the Goon. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by it, though I shouldn't have since I've heard nothing but good about it. Also I picked up the next issue of All Star Superman. Man that is such a great series. Grant Morrison just gets Supes. I had wanted to pick up the ultimate Bone collection but unfortunately the store didn't have it.
Friday I took a day hike with Michael and Chelsey at Laurel Falls. It was kinda cold but was still a nice little hike. Plus it only took us about an hour too and from.
Saturday I went to the double header Bucs basketball game. Both the men and women lost to the same school so fun times were not had at all. Afterwards me Michael and Tyler went to Backyard Burger and then they came to the apartment for a little while.
Sunday, was uneventful outside of Sunday school.
Monday classes started. My AutoCad class seems like it'll be okay. I know several people in there so that always helps. On the other hand, my Intro to Psych seems like it will be an unnecessary pain in my ass. The only nice thing about the class is that it only meets twice a week instead of 3 times as it is listed. After Psych I ran errands until 5:30.
Tuesday I went to Basketball, Public Speaking, and 3-d Model Design. Basketball is going to be ridiculously easy. Public speaking isn't going to be too bad. I've got to give a presentation on a person in my class Tuesday which kind of sucks but it does help me get to know someone in my class rather than what I usually do which is sit quietly and hate my situation. 3-D Model Design is going to be fun I hope. We already are starting on a project next week though which is understandable since this is the intermediate modeling class. Since the independent project I'm working on with Will and Chris is 3-d we are going to use this class to get some progress on our project. I'm a little apprehensive about this however since I want to get a lot of good work out of this and I feel uncomfortable not doing something I came up with to use my strengths with. Like I said however, this is more apprehension more anything else. Things should be ok. Though if I'm not doing well in the class because of this project I'll drop working on it this semester in a heartbeat.
Anyway, Wednesday I went to the second day of these classes. More of the same. After class, I went grocery shopping and used my Wal-Mart Gift card to buy some DVD's. I got Fight Club, Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico in a double pack, and a special edition Once Upon a Time in the West DVD. As I type this I'm watching Desperado and maybe I'll watch Fight Club tonight.
Well, that's about all I've got to say. I always feel like I don't have much to say but then I end up typing a ridiculous amount of stuff.
Until Next Time...

Update Time Baby! It's Update Time Baby! It' Update...
So it's been a week since the last update so here we are.
Went back home Wednesday for a couple of more days. I came back to the apartment Friday so I could stay the night and be rested up for the double header basketball game Saturday with the pep band. The Bucs won both games, which always makes a game better. Afterwards I went to Backyard Burger with my parents and family friends. Backyard Burger was good as always. After the feasting was done I went back to the apartment and lounged around. Then the fun began.
Around 4:30 Sunday morning some douche pulled the fire alarm at our apartment. So myself and the few other residents in the building at the moment filed out and waited for the fire department. They came about 10 minutes after I came out and checked the building out and told us to head back in and they would turn the fire alarm off in a few minutes. Well after going on and off for a few minutes there was about 5 minutes of silence. Then the alarm came back on again. This time it was an hour and a half before somebody came back and turned the damn thing off again. Fun times huh? So thus Sunday I did absolutely nothing.
Monday, I paid tuition and bought books so I am ready to go for the next semester...woo... I was also supposed to go hiking with Michael and Chelsey but they were running really late so we just decided to try again Friday. After that, Will and I went to Best Buy so we could spend our gift cards. I bought a mouse for my laptop and Will bought The Prestige. Chris Amodei and Carrie came over that night and we watched it then. I had never seen it before so it was a first for me. I really enjoyed it. The only downside about it was watching it with other people is that I always try to figure out the secret ending that everyone is tee heeing about. Not a big deal just a pet peeve.
Today Chris Amodei came over and discussed his project some more. Essentially I'm gonna be busy for awhile. Around 6:15, I went to the women's basketball game to play with the pep band. The women lost so fun times were not had.
Oh yeah, in other sports news, LSU beat Ohio State! Woo take that Big 10! Okay, that's all I have to say about that.
I may finally have a concept for my comic strip project. It involves a creature I created Sunday in my lack of sleep haze. Which apparently I'm much more creative in that state because I seem to think outside the box more. So either I should just stop sleeping or start smoking pot. I haven't decided which yet (not really). At any rate, I still don't have a solid story down for it yet or even a name for the creature but I have a general idea of the direction and style for the comic strip.
Well I believe that's about it for now. Check back in about a week for more.

For Those Who Have Rocked...
So it's been a little over a week since I've updated so in keeping with my promise I'll tell what's been going on.
So Christmas came and went. I really enjoyed it this year for some reason. More so than I have in the past two years. I believe it's because this was the first semester I've lived away from home and I don't see my parents too often even though I live only 20 minutes away. I got some good swag as usual. Here's a list of what I remember off the top of my head:
Okami
Soul Caliber 3
25$ Wal-Mart gift card
15$ Best Buy Gift Card
Comic book store gift certificate
ETSU shirt and gym shorts
Pen that has a laser pointer and LED flashlight in it.
Black Vest
After Christmas I pretty well lounged around and did very little. I had planned to go back to the apartment Saturday to play in the pep band for Sunday but I wound up staying home Saturday because I didn't feel like going back. I went to CHUMC that Sunday and went to lunch with a bunch of people I hadn't seen in a long time. It was fun but I was in a rush to get back to Johnson City to make the game and in fact didn't get to unpack until that night.
New Years Eve day was interesting. Michael and I went up to the Balds at Roan Mtn. We didn't go far or stay long because every bathroom around was closed for the holiday and I had to take a dump in the worse way. Plus neither of us really felt like going all the way like we had intended. I took some photos so I'll have to post them here soon. That night Will threw a New Years Eve party with some friends of his at the apartment so I hung out with them. Michael and Chelsey were planning on coming but worked screwed Chelsey out of that and Michael decided he didn't feel up to staying. Plus he had to drive 25 minutes back to Greenville afterwards so I understood. The party itself was tres fun. Chris Amodei ( sorry man I have no clue if that's right or not and really don't care at the moment) brought his Wii (hee hee I am so 5 years old, 5 and a half actually *sigh*) and Will's brother brought Guitar Hero 2. We played Ray-Man 2: Rabid Rabbids (?) on the Wii and then played a Family Guy DVD trivia game. We played Baulderdash for a little bit before midnight and then had a sparkling grape juice shot to the New Year. After that there was fighting, wrestling and Guitar Hero. Vague huh? Don't worry all were in good fun. And let us never speak of this again.
I've still been trying to come up with a concept for a comic strip. I can't seem to work out an idea that appeals to me but also would work in a comic strip format. Also I want the story to be an action adventure comedy. I keep going back to Courage the Cowardly Dog in terms of overall feel but also I keep thinking about other comic strips that are inspiring me.
Anyway, until next time...
