Wow. It's been well over a year since I last even considered posting here. Life gets busy, zombies come the hell up, A buttons need to be pressed. As Led Zeppelin once said, "Hey hey, what can I say?" Honestly not too much. A lot has changed, and I do mean a lot. I now live in an apartment in Johnson City with three other guys, one from France, which is kind of cool. A lot of drama, of ridiculous amounts which I shall not get into detail about. Still at ETSU, still DIGM.
So what's life been like in the full year I've been away? Well as I mentioned before, I now live in an apartment with three other guys in JC near ETSU. This has been a very different experience both good and bad. I just got out of Physics which was a hell the likes of which only Dante could imagine. I got a C+ in the class and a B in the lab. The C+ has been my lowest grade so far in college and hopefully the lowest I ever make. If not for that class I would have made the Dean's list for the third time in a row. Which, by the way, I made the Dean's list both semesters last year.
I hope to start either a comic strip or a sketch a day here soon. Both have been on my to do list for awhile and what better time to start than the new year. I haven't decided if they'll be posted here or if I'll create a new blog to showcase them. I'm leaning towards the latter but considering the success of updating this blog I'm understandably leery of doing so.
I almost shouldn't even bother mentioning story ideas because I usually lose interest in them too quickly for them to matter but I'll discuss what I'm doing at the moment. I'm working on a science fiction fantasy graphic novel currently being referenced as Project Aurora. The story details lives of up and coming soldiers of a large space cruiser as they enter a war with a rival faction for reasons yet developed. Through the story I hope to delve into issues of race, religion, and war. This is probably the biggest and most in depth story I've ever considered working on. Though I hate to say it, my explanation barely even scratches the surface of how deep I plan on making this story. A good analogy of the feel I'm going for would be Star Trek meets Final Fantasy post Final Fantasy VI. Obviously the comic strip idea does not involve this but I felt compelled to mention it. Progress on the project is still in pre-production and design phase. I'll keep you updated on it's progress or possibly sad discontinuation.
I may be getting a lot of concept art experience if two projects I'm working with pan out. I can't really say anymore but both are pretty cool opportunities if they work out.
Well, that about all I've got to say right now. I'm really gonna try and post more on here. It feels very therapeutic so I may try and post at least once a week God willing. Anyways Peace.
