I feel like a zombie every time I post here...

Considering how far apart my updates are it's like I'm raising this blog from the dead. I guess I'll bore you with vague updates on my life.

Well my job situation was recently solved. I decided to sign up with A-1 Temp services, which actually is pretty ideal for me. It's not a steady job and I really didn't want a steady job to be frank, but it still puts money in my pocket so I'm happy.

I went with my church's young adult group on the annual John's Island trip, which was as great as it always was. It also helped me sort out some personal issues I had before going. When we got back, Michael Smith and I volunteered to speak in front of the church and give a testimony about the trip, which went fairly well for both of us.

Otherwise summer's been fairly uneventful, most of my friends work so I never see them so I end up either sitting around all day (which I'm not extremely upset about, though it can get boring), working, or hanging out with Michael and/or Colby. While not a bad thing, fresh blood would be nice to have. Driving around aimlessly is basically out of the question due to the ridiculous gas prices at the moment.

I started running a few weeks ago to try and lose some weight. Success has varied, some weeks are better than others (geez I sound like a recovering alcoholic or something) but I've not given up yet.

My church finally started a young adult bible study so that gives me something to do once a week. It's been ok so far, but as with most younger age bible studies it kind of talks down to you sometimes, which can be annoying, but otherwise it's ok.

Onto a bit of video game news. I heard last night that besides the fact the PS3 is going to cost about $600 buying a single game is going to cost, drum roll please, $100 f*cking dollars. My response to that, Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. F*ck you Sony!

*ahem* anyway. Been in a bit of a artist's block for lack of a better term. Or maybe a creative block. I hope to ammend this by maybe switching to writing for awhile, and then coming back to art. I like art but creativly I've been a bit dry recently so I hope to reignite the fire by switching genres for a little while.

Well, I believe that's all I got for the moment. I may post something tomorrow just to space out the feeling of life here. I may even have a bit of scraps for you.

A Bit of Randomness...

Since I've not posted in a little while, I decided it was UPDATE TIME!!!!

Well first off, the site is about 90% done. I finally got the background up and have just about gotten the banner sized right. So once that's done I'll be through with redesigning for awhile. I'll probably post the actual designs in another post so you can get a better view. And by you I mean probably the 4-5 people who actually read this. Probably even less.

This freaking psycho weather is pissing me off. The high for today is 6 bleepin' 3! Which means that's the warmest it'll get. Winter wasn't this freaking cold! It's almost summer! Get warm now!

I want to wear green khaki pants again. I miss wearing them. I only have one pair now and they're not that great. I also have two corderoy (sp? screw off it's summer, thinking stopped on May 4th, and will not start back till June 5 when summer school starts) green pants but they're too hot to wear in the summer.

I want to see the Black Crowes in concert this summer. They have two concerts in a reasonably close proximity to where I live. Bad news both concerts are inbetween summer school class. But I may say screw it and go anyway. I looked at Tickets for one of the shows and it was gonna be around 45$ for middle seating, not ideal but not out the butt expensive either. So, if I can talk some friends or at least one friend into going, I'm going.

Though I'm not a huge video game fan, I'll talk about E3 for about .5 seconds. I may be investing in Nintendo once the price goes down a bit (I've never bought a system as soon as it came out, basically due the systems being way too expensive *glares at PS3*). Maybe just because of Super Mario Galaxy, and of course because of the new Zelda game. This game looks friggin sweet. Though I'm kind of leary about the controller I still want to play that game. The game has that feeling of wonder that the Classic Mario games had. It seems the Ps3 is where me and Sony part ways, I was never greatly impressed with the PS2 and the price for the PS3 is a bit too much. In fact I'll probably buy a game cube soon to get some games I really wanted like Windwaker and a few others.

The beginner Trombone instructor job seems to have fallen through. I've not heard a word about it since I left my name so I say screw it. I wasn't really planning on working a steady job this summer anyway with summer school though the extra cash would be nice. I may just look for odd jobs again, which never seems to pan out very well but I had a bit of success with it last summer. Plus I'll probably play with Buc Brass again so that'll give me another decent paycheck. Maybe I can design some T-shirts and sell them.

Well, that seems to be all for the moment.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Human Being at Work

Yeah, so I'm still trying to redesign the site if you haven't noticed the chaos. Geez this is so annoying. Damn you CSS! Why must you be so abusive yet so sexy? Sigh.

Well since I'm here I'll update a bit. Vent some rage.

Finally got my application to Northeast State in today. Yeah yeah procrastination blah blah lazy, well y'know what? Screw off, "I got the job done." Random Lethal Weapon quote for the day.

Went to the the Tri Cities Flea Market Saturday with my parents. So many stereotypes. I can't stand people who exemplify a stereotype, it makes everyone else look bad. Racist Southerners make all Southerners look that way. Loud mouth New Yorkers make the others seem that way. Yes stereotypes are bad but the reason various racial or social groups get cast as certain stereotypes is because there's some truth to them. My complaint about the world today.

As I mentioned earlier I worked some on the blog. I got my banner finished in photoshop and you can see part of it in the background, but I have to resize it for the site. I'll also likely be making a background since my original idea blew up in my face. Likely not as fancy as my banner but still a little fancy. Kind of Ryans fancy.

There's probably more stuff I want to talk about but I can't think of it right now so I'll add it later.

Name change and appearance change part 1...

As you can see, I've changed my blog's name. The reason for this is mainly that I got tired of the other name. Also it wasn't kid or parent friendly so thus is why I changed it.

Also been tweaking the design some today. Don't know if I'll stay with this concept or not.

An edit of sorts...

Since it was such a pain to edit the other post I'll just put the poster image in this entry.
Not that anyone will reply, but does it look as dark to other people as it does to me? The print wasn't this dark and it's not this dark on my laptop, but it looks really dark on my monitor for my PC. Same goes for Frank.

Well for those who haven't seen or heard from me in several weeks. Here are two reasons why. Also this is a fufillment to actually post some of my artwork on here. In this case, I'm posting two of my photoshop projects.

*Link Removed, see next post*
This was from a movie poster project for my Photoshop class. I need to send it to Colby who posed for the photo, since he has yet to see it.

And the picture at the very top is my final project for my Photoshop class. Freaky Frank is the name of the model which our class worked on and was a pain and a half to do with all the other projects going on.

Other reasons for my hermit like state of being is my stupid Color Theory final, which required us to recreate a piece of art using color found in magazines. Yes, mother ****'ing magazines. Of course, me being the procrastinator I've been didn't start on this until 1:00 Sunday Afternoon. I wound up not completely finishing even after staying up till 3 AM, and then waking up at 7 AM and putting in 3 more hours after that. I forgot to do some of the color theory excercises as well and had to mount all of the excercises I did have in under 2 hours. Then go to an English exam in which I had to do a 1000 word in class writing. All with 3 hours of sleep. And to top it all off, I had to work on Freaky Frank at the DMC (digital media center) till 10:30. Then drive home and wake up at 8:30 to go back to the DMC for the first day of exams today. I was going to present my Freaky Frank texture project and be done with it, but circumstances didn't allow that so I'll be back up there Thursday to present it. In the long run though, it will probably be better to do it this way. But that's another story.

I would complain about school more, but right now I just don't feel like it, but I may go into those details later.

Almost lost that post, sorry for the spelling and grammatical errors, but the spell check almost screwed me over so I say **** you spell check, **** you.

True to my word...

Well I actually updated again at a decent interval (well better than 4-5 months between updates).

School sucks. File that under DUUURRR comments. But it still does. Finals loom on the horizone and I think it hit me how much I'll be doing and how little time I feel I have today. Because I've felt like crap since I left to go home. 2 weeks and 3 days can't come soon enough.

Another thing that I'm really looking foward to is John's Island mission trip. This year will be my first trip with the young adults, tres cool.

I didn't go to that music store to talk about teaching private lessons today. I woke up and just didn't feel up to it so I'm gonna go Friday and check it out.

I was gonna post my photo comp. But I just looked at it and it's way too dark on this monitor so I'll have to go back and lighten it up some before I can post it. Which was the main reason I was updating. Oh well, it's been one of those days.

For those who thought me dead...

I wouldn't blame you. Geez it's been so long since I updated this thing I had forgottten my screen name. Yeah, talking with a friend in my Raster class made me decide to make an update. I've been fairly busy with school and am ready for the semester to be over.

I still plan on posting my artwork on here at some point, maybe I'll post some of my Photoshop stuff and something else I'm currently working on soon. I had a comic strip I did for another class but I don't think I'll be getting it back and I don't think it's my best work to I probably wouldn't have posted it anyway. I could always post the crest I made for that class, of course it got beat to seven shades of black and blue getting it home (damned rain) but I guess I could still post it.

Definitely ready for summer. May possibly be teaching beginner trombone over the summer which would be tres cool. One of my friends called me up about it and I may just do it this summer, "puttin some cash in my pocket, workin' for the man".

For those who watched South Park last night we saw the conclusion to the "Family Guy bashing episode" even though it was more about censorship in media. Honestly I knew they wouldn't be able to do these episodes without coming off as bitter to Family Guy's success. It would've been a pretty good couple of episodes if they would've done it another way. It brought up some great points about the whole Muhammed comic strip fiasco from a couple of months ago, especially how hardly anybody in the U.S. ever actually saw the cartoon strips unless they looked them up online.

Wow quite a bit of writing, I should update more often.
